About Korean Language Teacher Training Program

• It is a required course that prepares Korean Language Teacher Certification.
• Anyone among currently employed teachers, company employees, and government employees with minimum junior college education, and college students may join the course.

Outline of the Curriculum

• Two days a week (Tue. and Thu.) and 4 hours each day, totaling 134 hours.
• Theory class, class observation, and practice; diploma conferred to those who complete the course.
  - As for Practice in Korean Education, only such training as recognized by the National Institute of the Korean Language or as conducted at Korean Training Course of IILE is acknowledged.

Academic Affairs

• Comprehensive evaluation (based on written test and class attendance) is conducted on theory and practice.
• Participants with minimum class attendance of 90% (completing class hours in areas required for the certificate for Korean language teacher) are given a diploma from the University President and can try to obtain Grade 3 of Korean Language Teacher Certification Exam.
• All students must write a class observation report and an instruction guide.

• Adults with minimum junior college education or current college students (minimum 3rd year) who are interested in Korean education.
